Insole systems for gait analysis and gait monitoring have been developed
• Most they current systems commercialized are restricted to laboratory
environments; connect the in-shoe system (plantar sensors) with the data
acquisition / battery / inertial sensors through wires making the system
more bulky to wear. In other cases, cumbersome electronic boxes have to
be attached to the ankles, the back of the shoe or at the waist of the
subject which reduces the usability of the system.
